Taryn Hazewski, Graduate Clinical Intern (Beginning February 2025)
As a graduate student in Walden University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, I am learning the significance of therapeutic theories and techniques in counseling. I am eager to apply this knowledge to support individuals from diverse backgrounds, across all stages of life. I hope to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups who need guidance, resources, and support as they navigate their mental health journey.
Treatment Approach
Throughout my education and experiences, I have discovered that I align most with the Psychodynamic approach and Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Each individual is composed of various “parts” that shape our identity. Understanding these parts and how they interact provides insight into our needs, desires, and factors that could be limiting our growth. I value unconscious thoughts and early childhood experiences when understanding current behaviors, emotional triggers, and obstacles.
I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to work with you on this journey of self-discovery, healing, and unlocking the best version of yourself.
“The Self is a calm, compassionate, curious, and connected presence inside each of us, and it is the key to healing.”
